Oct. 25-31st, 2015 is Officially National Massage Therapy Awareness Week
It seems as though the medical benefits of massage therapy are gaining some well-deserved recognition. The Atlanta City Council has officially proclaimed Oct. 25-31st as National Massage Therapy Awareness Week in the City of Atlanta.
The article published on prweb.com on Oct. 24 quotes Shannon Grant, owner of The Art of Touch, who says, “Massage therapy has a real impact on health care. Emory University, Shepard’s Spinal Center and other respected health care institutions around the country [U.S.] have been conducting ongoing research on the efficacy of the health care benefits of massage therapy. The results of the research support the categorization of massage therapy as health care.”
